Their brands, Blas y Tir and Root Zero, are integral to their business in Wales and the UK.Established over 40 years ago, this growing company supplies high-quality produce to UK supermarkets year-round and works closely with dedicated growers throughout the production process within their advanced potato factory.The Growing Manager role involves planning and coordinating cultivation and planting activities, managing crop growth, and optimizing inputs to meet quality, service, and cost targets. Responsibilities also include tracking crop performance, collaborating with other managers, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards.Key Responsibilities:Planning and executing planting campaigns for continuous supply.Ensuring machinery readiness and operational scheduling.Managing growing operations, including land management and contractor relationships.Monitoring crop performance, reporting issues, and conducting field assessments.Adhering to food safety standards and maintaining accurate records.Promoting best farming practices and environmental stewardship.Desirable qualifications include a BASIS certification or relevant degree.
