Food Compliance Manager

What will you be DOING?
Ensure the business is fully compliant through its Policies and Procedures with all matters relating to Food Safety, Quality and Legality.
Manage all relevant reports, customer responses, trending information around complaints, non-conformances and corrective actions.
Manage appropriate external certifications as required including preparation, monitoring and review of all associated documentation: BRC etc to satisfy customer requirements Produce Gap Analysis summaries to ensure any relevant changes to customer codes of practice are raised Encourage best practice within the team and in a wider capacity within the bakery environment.
Actively engage others to ensure systems and procedures are relevant and fully understood.
Helps others to understand the reasons behind change and relates change to what matters most to them.
Consistently maintains a calm and professional approach.
Paints a picture of future and explains steps needed to get there.
Demonstrates a 'can do' attitude.
What SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE do you need to have?
Experience working within Food Manufacturing environment An excellent standard of both verbal and written English Proficient with using Microsoft office packages.
Experience and understanding of third-party audit requirements including BRCGS and major retailers.
Experience and knowledge of HACCP level 3 (level 4 desirable) Level 3 Food Safety Qualification (Level 4 desirable) Understanding of customer and supplier management Experience of interpreting or working with relevant legislation (labelling, Food Safety etc) Auditing qualification / experience What will Higgidy do for you?
