May lead and provide mentoring and guidance to less senior developers.Designs, prepares, and executes unit tests.Independently implements design solutions created by senior developers and Design Authorities.Required Skills, Experience and KnowledgeC/C++ development experience (minimum of 2 years)Basic understanding of relational databasesExperience of the full development life cycle, i.e. design, code, unit testing, integration testing, system testingUnderstanding of automated testing and available tools, preferably some experience and a working knowledgeExperience of creating/writing manual test scriptsExperience in use of Source Control management tools e.g. ClearQuestWillingness to mentor junior members and trainees.Ability to work in a process driven environment (evidence of working on defence projects beneficial)Flexibility – willing to work in all areas, e.g. design, code, testing areas as required. Project is already well established, and majority of work will be updating existing code, design, and test collateral.Good experience of working in a team environment – developers work in agile teams of 5 to 6 developers with a scrum master.
