Are you passionate about customer service and have experience in a healthcare environment? Are you available to work weekends?

One Health Lewisham are looking for a professional, warm and empathetic Receptionist to join our Urgent Care Centre reception team on a part-time permanent basis. You will be working 4 days per week including the weekend.

You will be the first point of contact for patients visiting the Urgent Care Centre, ensuring they are welcomed, booked in, seen by the appropriate clinician, and supported with any queries they may have. You will also support our Team Leader by ensuring that the reception area and clinical rooms remain clean and tidy. Our UCC service runs 9am to 10pm every day, all year round, including all bank holidays.

We deliver specialist support to some of the most complex patients in the system through our Special Allocation Service contract across all boroughs in South-East London and North East London ICSs. We also provide a range of services across Lewisham including:

  • Urgent Care Centre at Lewisham Hospital;
  • NHS Health Checks Programme;
  • Home Visiting Service, led by our experienced team of paramedics;
  • Enhanced Care Home Service;

Your new role :

  • Manage the flow of patients through the Urgent Care department
  • Schedule appointments
  • Maintain an organised and tidy reception area
  • Work as part of a team

What you need to succeed :

  • Experience of using the EMIS Web clinical system in capacity as a receptionist and administrator within NHS
  • Interpersonal skills to include polite, concise and effective verbal and written communication
  • GCSE or equivalent qualification in English and Mathematics
  • Organisational skills, ability to prioritise

Hours or work : 30 hours per week including weekends.

Pay :£22,531.94pa inclusive of £931.94pa weekend allowance (FTE: £29,329.86pa inclusive of £2329.86pa weekend allowance).
