Learning Manager Salary: £83 - £100 per day Start Date: October 2024 Location: Ripon, North Yorkshire Contract Type: Full-Time GSL Education’s North Yorkshire branch is currently recruiting for outstanding Learning Manager for our Client Secondary school in the Scarborough area,starting in October 2024 . As a Learning Manager, you will play a key role in working with students across a year group, monitoring and supporting their progress both academically and behaviourally. Learning Manager Requirements: A relevant qualification in education, youth work, or a related field is desirable. Experience and a passion for working with students are highly valued. Previous experience working in a school environment, preferably in an SEN setting, with a strong understanding of the challenges faced by students with special educational needs. Proven ability to manage and improve student behaviour, with experience in implementing positive behaviour support strategies. A genuine interest in the issues faced by students with SEN, and the ability to show empathy, patience, and understanding in supporting their needs. Hold a Child Only DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one with GSL Education. Learning Manager Responsibilities: Oversee and monitor the academic progress, behaviour, and well-being of students in your assigned year group, providing targeted support and intervention as needed. Work closely with the Inclusion Coordinator and Leadership Team to develop and implement strategies to improve student behaviour, ensuring a positive and respectful learning environment. Monitor student attendance, identifying and addressing issues that may be impacting regular attendance, and working with students and families to promote full attendance. Provide one-on-one and small group support to students. Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and external agencies to ensure a coordinated approach to supporting students' needs. Uphold the school's safeguarding policies and procedures, ensuring the safety and well-being of all students.
