Linux System Administrator - Cheshire /Hybrid
Fantastic client looking for a Linux System Administrator to join their growing team in Nantwich, Cheshire offering a hybrid working approach. Working with the Senior System Admin to provide support for production environment, participate in both BAU andproject work.
This would suit someone who has a real passion for technology and Linux, that enjoys the challenge of fast-paced environment and has around 4 years of commercial experience working with Linux.
Linux System Admin is essential. This would suit someone who has previous commercial experience in some or all the following:
- Linux Systems Admin (SUSE or Redhat or Ubuntu, Debian or alternative distributions)
- Comfortable with command line admin via SSH, Scripting langs (bash/python) command pipelines, standard Linux/Unix tools.
- Linux performance, security, monitoring, troubleshooting.
Desired: Integration with Windows Systems and services (Active Directory, File Shares/DFS), Configuration Management, Storage Administration, Virtualisation, System Monitoring, Networking, relational databases.
Your main responsibilities daily would be:
- Providing support to developers.
- Support, maintenance, and patching of the Linux estate.
- Provide support, create relevant reports, and research & development into new technology & processes.
