Music Instructor - ViolinJordanhill School has a very rich tradition of music-making with a large number of ensembles, groups, bands, choirs and orchestras meeting regularly to rehearse and give performances.The school offers a music instruction programme which is inclusive and maximizes participation by ensuring access for all young people who have an interest and aptitude to benefit from music instruction. At present over pupils from Primary 5 to Secondary 6 participate on a weekly basis. A Job Description is available on our website seek the services of an instrumental instructor to teach violin within our programme for a total of 12 hours per week over Monday and Tuesday. Experience of directing ensemble rehearsals is desirable. Our current violin instructor has responsibility for directing primary orchestra, secondary senior orchestra, fiddle group and senior string quartet.Interviews and an observed lesson for those selected will be held during week commencing 23rd September . Ideally the intended commencement date for the successful candidate is Monday 21st October .Applicants are required to hold a degree level qualification in music and you must submit appropriate evidence of these/this. Appointment is subject to a satisfactory PVG check prior to commencement in the post, satisfactory references, presentation of qualifications and confirmation of the right to work in the UK.
