Designing, improving and maintaining the UI library and style guide

  • Communicating design ideas effectively using wirefames, mockups, and prototypes
  • Creating high fidelity designs of complex technical solutions
  • Establish and help to maintain a comprehensive asset library

Role Elements

Product Designing

  • Accountable for the quality and consistency of the design work that we deliver to our clients
  • Participate in the definition of design strategy and developing a clear idea of what our clients are looking for
  • Evolution of existing product library
  • A pixel perfect approach with great attention to detail of layouts, typography and other digital design principles

Design Delivery

  • To establish close relationships with the Solutions team that are working with the clients to identify potential opportunities for the design team.
  • Deliver on the backlog of UI/UX work within the design team
  • Actively participate in team meetings, analysing issues, problem-solving and collating actionable insights
  • Take designs from concept to completion by working with the software development team to execute your ideas

What we're looking for

Technical specifications

  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, in particular Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Knowledge of Figma, Adobe XD or similar prototyping products
  • A good understanding of HTML and CSS with the ability to design in browser when needed
  • A basic understanding of JavaScript and jQuery with a desire to learn more
  • Knowledge of coding frameworks of such as React, Angular and Flutter
  • Understanding of the basic principles of API's

Person specification : As well as having a passionate interest in UI/UX design, we need someone who is:

  • Able to show exposure to UI/UX training and/or direct experience
  • Able to show a portfolio or piece of design work that represents who you are as a designer
  • Capable of demonstrating a good understanding of the importance of user experience design
  • Doing stakeholder research to understand client needs
  • Comfortable engaging with people and leading requirements gathering conversations
  • Willing to fail, learn and improve ideas and solutions
  • Be curious, creative and have a desire to change things for the better
  • Be invested in delivering a high-quality client experience
