Assistant Financial Accountant

We have an exciting new opportunity for an Assistant Financial Accountant in a global organisation who are leaders in their industry and based in Northampton, where much of the board are based including the CEO and CFO. - Responsible for the intercompany accounting for the RSR group (key contact for intercompany) - Manage the reconciliation of all intercompany balances across the group which includes discussions with other group companies - Ensuring that all intercompany accruals are posted, intercompany invoices are raised and intercompany supplier invoices are authorised for payment on a monthly basis. - Keeping transfer pricing documentation is up to date and complete for all companies - Ensure that all ONS surveys are completed in a timely fashion. - Aide the team in creating accounting process documentation. - Ensure timely and accurate bookkeeping and reconciliations for the charity accounts. - Deal with ad hoc queries and show confidence in delivering effective face to face support to senior staff. - Support the statutory accounting and audit processes (in Ireland & the Charity in particular). - Operate as a key team member meeting personal work objectives expected for the role completing all work and projects to the highest standard. - Maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders such as: other finance departments, IT, Marketing, Property, Procurement, external auditors, ONS and HMRC. The successful Assistant Financial Accountant will be: - Currently studying or looking to study for (CIMA, ACA, ACCA) - Strong academic record - Strong financial accounts background and proven track record in a finance environment - Experience of the accurate preparation of balance sheets and their reconciliation - Able to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure - Demonstrated business systems experience preferred, including Oracle - Strong Excel skills - Driven to improve processes around the business - Excellent communicator and keen to interact with different people and non-finance staff - Eager to get involved in tasks and progress within the team - Able to fit in with the team’s friendly culture - Results orientated with desire to ‘see things through’
