Job Description

We are seeking skilled Systems Engineers for multiple roles based in Crawley on a hybrid basis, each offering the opportunity to work on critical defence projects. Whether you have general systems engineering experience, specialize in left/right hand side systems, or excel in requirements management, we have a position for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • General Systems Engineering: Apply your expertise in system engineering processes and practices, with a focus on the full lifecycle of defence systems.
  • Requirements Management: Use DOORS to manage and derive requirements, ensuring all project needs are accurately captured and met.
  • Leadership and Coordination: Lead Critical Design Reviews (CDR), Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR), and mentor a team of junior systems engineers.
  • System Integration: Work with a variety of technologies to integrate and verify systems in a logical and structured manner, meeting all customer requirements.
  • Collaboration: Develop and establish collaborative relationships with multiple stakeholders, ensuring a system-centric approach to all projects.
  • Communication: Present and explain complex technical problems clearly, tailoring your communication to suit different audiences.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years experience in Systems Engineering in Defence, Aerospace or similar industries (Rail, Energy, Automotive etc)
  • Strong understanding of Systems Engineering Lifecycles and the ability to apply these principles to complex projects.
  • Proficiency in DOORS for requirements management and requirements derivation.
  • Experience with CDR/PDR processes.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with stakeholders across disciplines.
  • Eligibility for SC clearance ( UKEO ), with a proactive and can-do attitude.
