Stockdales is a local charity based in Sale, just south of Manchester City Centre. We have over 60 years’ experience supporting people with learning and physical disabilities to live life to the full. No two days are the same and you will be making a real difference to people who need care and support every day of their lives. Whether they are getting up in the morning, baking a cakeor are supporting someone to get out and about in their local community you will be that person helping them to live life to the full. You will be supported to develop your career and will eventually be able to help people with their health care procedures and be able to lead a team of staff in the role of senior support worker. You will go home at the end of your shift totally satisfiedand feeling you have made a big difference to the people you support. To do this job you don’t need to have worked in a care setting but need to have a passion and want to help people with learning disabilities and complex care needs. Having basic IT skills and need to be able to read, write and have basic numeracy skillsis essential to this role. Being able to drive is a bonus but isn’t essential to this role.
