Clinical Lead for Anaesthetics

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Band 7 Clinical Lead to join our theatre team at the Victoria Hospital Kirkcaldy to lead our Operating Department Practitioners and Anaesthetic Nurses. You will have theatre experience at a senior level and be able to demonstrate on-going professional development. The phase 3 theatre suite encompasses 11 theatres and provides services for a number of specialties including Elective Orthopaedics, Trauma, ENT, General Surgery, Urology, Gynaecology, and Maxillofacial, this includes a 24/7 Emergency theatre and Obstetric Theatre. There are a further 2 elective orthopaedic theatre on site. You along with other Clinical Leads carry continuing responsibility for the theatre suite ensuring safe, efficient and effective management of the operating theatre with specific responsibility for designated clinical specialties. - You will provide professional and clinical leadership to the multidisciplinary team and will be responsible for planning and implementing patient centred care, and for the setting of standards of care within the operating department, including coordinating. - You must hold First Level Registration with either NMC or HCPC. - You should be educated to degree level or working towards or equivalent level of knowledge and experience. - You must have - Evidence of Continuous Professional Development - Evidence of effective staff management skills / experience - Excellent time management and communication skills. - Excellent organisational and problem solving skills - Possess team working and building skills and have the ability to motivate others - Evidence of being able to work using own initiative Informal enquiries can be made to: Cath Jack, Theatre Manager, 01592 643355 ext 26687 A requirement of this post is to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme Prior to appointment.
