Social Worker – Vale of Glamorgan Council – Children

An exciting job role has recently become available at the Vales of Glamorgan Council in Barry. They are looking for a new member for their Hospital Discharge Team. The Intake Team incorporates our front door, and completes a range of assessments, conducts section 47 enquiries and establishes whether longer term plans are needed for families. They also are involved in issuing court proceedings where needed, and get involved in private law work. Families will also be transferred to our family support teams if intervention is longer than 3 months This is a fast paced team where every day is different. We are looking to recruit experienced agency workers who have experience of working with similar teams, and who are able to manage a caseload of competing demands.
