About the Role: As an Autism Support Worker, you will support students with ASC and SEMH needs, working closely with teachers and staffs to provide tailored interventions and foster a positive learning environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with ASC and SEMH needs. Assist in the implementation of individualised learning plans and interventions. Collaborate with teachers to develop and adjust educational strategies. Support students in developing social, emotional, and academic skills. Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment. Build strong relationships with students, families, and staff to promote effective communication and collaboration. Monitor and document student progress, providing feedback and recommendations as needed. Participate in training and professional development to continuously enhance support practices. Qualifications and Skills: Experience working with children or young people with Autism Spectrum Conditions and/or Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs. Understanding of ASC and SEMH and the ability to implement effective support strategies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, families, and colleagues. A proactive and flexible approach to problem-solving and support. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team. Relevant qualifications or experience in special education, social work, or a related field are desirable.
