This is a new role for my client - the Warehouse Supervisor will report directly to the Warehouse and Transport Manager, supervising a small team of Warehouse Operatives.

Key responsibilities will include :

Supervise the warehouse team to achieve departmental goals to the agreed standards
Create and own fortnightly staff rotas
Liaise with the Warehouse and Transport Manager to arrange and resolve material delivery problems
Own, coordinate and delegate all material movements working within predefined delivery lead times
Conduct and own the return-to-work process, highlighting any issues to the Warehouse and Transport Manager
Flag quality issues with the Quality Department, raising CAPAs and tracking progression
Flag any documentation and material issues
Ensure your team are trained and adhere to relevant SOPs and EHS guidelines
Ensure relevant metrics are maintained and collated on time and in full within agreed timelines
Embed and maintain the Kanban and 5S processes
Coordinate all finished product shipments in line with despatch and customer demands

Key skills and experience required :

Previous supervisory experience within a warehouse preferred
Experience within a light/food manufacturing would be an advantage
Ability to follow instructions is essential
Proactive and willing to put forward own ideas to improves processes
Ability to lead by example - promoting teamwork

Hours of work: Monday - Friday, 8.00am - 4.00pm or 9.00am - 5.00pm

Holidays: 25 days + bank holidays
