Senior Management Accountant

A leading client of mine in the manufacturing industry is looking to add to their team a Senior Management Accountant.

As Senior Management Accountant you will lead the Accounting Function in the UK. Take ownership of areas such as month-end and VAT Reporting. This role is ideal for a Part-Qualified/Qualified or Newly qualified Accountant who is keen to progress their careerin the dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities include, :

• Full ownership of Month-end closure and Cognos Reporting.
• Balance Sheet reconciliations.
• VAT Returns for UK and Ireland.
• Intrastat Reporting.
• Day-to-day Management of Shared Services Centre: Accounts Payable.
• Fixed Assets including IFRS16.
• Employee expenses and Concur expert user.
• Aiba (purchase order system) expert user.
• Preparation of Statutory Accounts
• Management of External Audit.
• Internal Policies & Control.
• Calculation and ownership of Stock Provision.
• SAP Price Maintenance.
• Customer Agreement Set-UP
• Ad-hoc duties to support Leader, Finance UK

Key Deliverables :

• Good understanding of P&L, Balance sheet and double entry and ability to meet reporting deadlines.
• Degree qualified in Finance, Accounting or something similar.
• Part-Qualified, Newly-Qualified or Qualified ACCA or CIMA.
• 2-3 Years experience in a similar role.
• Excel expert includinding advanced SUMIF, Vlookup and Pivot Tables.
• SAP experience useful (not essential).
