Additional: Key Responsibilities :

  • Make sure you are aware of the required stock levels to support the individual workshops, working with supervisors to ensure the information has been provided and keeping these stock levels to the required amounts. _
  • Maintain the stores area in a clean, safe, tidy and organised manner, ensuring items are labelled, stored correctly and redundant items removed to promote efficient storage methods._
  • Issue goods from the stores (consumables, parts and fuel.) This covers stores items required by Sites, Workshops and Fitters and ensure they are booked out / charged out correctly in a timely manner. _
  • Liaise with suppliers for goods and transport, ensuring Select gets the best possible product/service/price._
  • Raise purchase orders for goods/materials/transport_
  • Record stores items and materials on Coins through GRN’s. _
  • Ensure stock is reordered in a timely manner_
  • Help establish and follow a robust ordering request system, prioritising orders and providing availability updates and delivery date feedback to sites/departments and chasing delivery dates as necessary._
  • Work with procurement to ensure we use preferred suppliers, reporting back quality or supply issues._
  • Achieving an efficient output, understanding workload and proactively working through tasks assigned. _
  • Looking ahead at tasks, being aware of weekly and longer term work activities for stock prioritisation in accordance with the teams requirements, plant list and rig programme supplied, ensuring requisitions for equipment, parts and materials are put in a priority order, orders placed and delivered ready to complete works scheduled._
  • Following up with suppliers under own initiative, in sufficient time as required to ensure items delivered by required by date, if ordered in sufficient time and deliveries are expected or late._
  • Promote best use of technology in day to day work activities to enable efficiency gains_
  • Understand the importance of the role of Stores in operational efficiency and how site operations can be impacted by poor process or performance_
  • Understanding, signing and working to all relevant RAMS and visual tasksheets. Inputting into this, as experience and knowledge enables and is appropriate._
  • Driving the company “Next Gear” initiatives through the use of tools such as collective insights, PVA’s (planned vs actuals) & FSR’s (fatal & severe risks)_
  • Adhering to all HSE Select standards._
  • To report any damage done to company property and is actively report to your supervisor._
  • Ability to follow instructions given both verbally and in written form._
  • Undertake environmental and depot duties as required and supported by the Depot Manager_
  • Be aware of the importance of processing orders and stock as part of the monthly accounting cycle dictates_
  • Participating in asset and stock level checks with the accounts team as required._
  • Maintaining/producing COSHH information/datasheets for products held or supplied by the stores in Grimsby_

Key Skills :

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a construction environment.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Attention to detail and organised, with good numeracy skills.
  • Be able to operate with mínimal supervision.
  • Proficient in the use of Coins
  • _Competent in understanding and executing both verbal and written instructions and can give them to others in the team. Microsoft Office sk
