HR & Payroll Assistant - Level 1/237 hours per week, Dorchester (combined with home-working)Salary £23,114 - £25,119 • Are you good with numbers? • Have a passion for customer service? • Do you have a high degree of attention for detail? • Are you a strong team player but also able to manage your own workload? We are looking for a highly motivated individual who has the capability to work under pressure to undertake a key role in the delivery of a Payroll and HR service for staff employed within schools and external customers.Efficient administration skills and proven experience in a busy administrative role is essential.You need to have a strong customer service ethos, as we are heavily customer focused in our approach, have the ability to resolve customer queries and provide information and advice to schools and customers. You will be required to undertake complex queries, work to strict deadlines, liaise with other external bodies and have a sound understanding of legislation.We provide transactional support to employers and employees throughout the employee lifecycle, this includes placing adverts, paying employees, dealing with pay issues and adjustments, issuing contracts of employment and processing leavers.It is desirable for you to be able to demonstrate an aptitude to calculate pay from gross to net, and will be required to identify, calculate and process other payroll related issues as they occur.This would be an opportunity to progress a career in Payroll and HR and an understanding of Payroll support service delivery in a large or complex organisation would be advantageous, the ideal candidate will demonstrate experience of the use of ICT systems for the delivery of a payroll service.This role is based at County Hall in Dorchester but you may be required/able to work remotely (. from home).
