We are looking for Catering Assistants at;

Blackwood Comprehensive School

Working hours :15 hours per week . That’s 3 hours daily, Monday to Friday during term time only (38 weeks a year).

Contract Type : Permanent/Part Time

Cefn Fforest Primary School

Working hours : 10 hours per week. That’s 2 hours daily, Monday to Friday during term time only (38 weeks a year).

Contract Type : Permanent/Part Time

We pay an attractive salary of £12 per hour - Real Living Wage, and offer access to training and development opportunities. Caerphilly County Borough Council is committed to paying the real Living Wage. The advertised salary for this post therefore includes a pay supplement.

Are you a team player who enjoys preparing and serving meals, loves working with children, is flexible and approachable?

For the role, we ask that you have :

• Level 2 Food Safety or be willing to undertake and achieve the qualification within 3 months in the role.
• A general understanding of the role in order to meet the needs of this vital service.
• An ability to work at various sites throughout the borough when required, to meet the needs of the service.
• If you do not hold a Level 2 Award in Food Safety and Hygiene in catering, we hope you will be prepared to receive food safety awareness training and other appropriate courses relevant to the post.
