Full-Time Reception Teacher (Maternity Cover) Location:  Liverpool (L31 area) Contract Type: Full-Time, Fixed-Term (Maternity Cover) Start Date: December until at least May 2025 Salary: £100-223 per day (dependent upon experience) Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver high-quality, creative lessons that inspire a love of learning and support the development of children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, where every child feels valued and supported in their learning journey. Use a range of teaching strategies and resources to promote the development of key skills in literacy, numeracy, and social and emotional well-being. Monitor and assess pupils’ progress, providing regular feedback and setting targets to ensure that all children achieve their best. Work closely with teaching assistants and other staff members to deliver a cohesive and supportive learning experience. Build strong relationships with parents and carers, keeping them informed about their child’s progress and offering guidance on how they can support learning at home. Contribute to the wider life of the school, participating in events, activities, and professional development opportunities. Essential Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching in EYFS. A strong understanding of the EYFS framework and early childhood development. A nurturing and patient approach, with the ability to build positive relationships with young children. Creative and engaging teaching methods that support children’s curiosity, exploration, and confidence. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and carers. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
