HGV Drainage Engineer

Vector are recruiting for an HGV Class 2 driver position with a well-known local main contractor a specialist  within infrastructure and utilities, particularly in drainage. Here's a breakdown of the key information: Company Background: The company is a locally based main contractor a specialist in infrastructure and utilities. They have an urgent need for HGV Class 2 drivers for their drainage contract. Job Requirements: Previous drainage experience is required. You must hold an HGV Class 2 license and CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence). Willingness to undertake physical work associated with maintaining the drainage network. Desirable  qualifications include Streetworks, HPWJ (High-Pressure Water Jetting), Confined Space, and First Aid. Job Description: The primary responsibility is to safely drive an HGV Class 2 Vacuum Tanker. Maintenance of the utility’s drainage network is a core aspect of the job. Drivers will need to exit the vehicle and use equipment to maintain the drainage network. Previous wet well experience advantageous  Work is typically carried out in pairs to divide the workload. Shift Pattern: The working hours are Monday to Friday from am to pm. There may be an on-call rota. Pay: The pay rate ranges from £14.50 to £18ph per hour, depending on experience. Overtime is compensated at time and a half. Contract Type: This is initially a temporary contract with the possibility of permanent employment.
