Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust is offering an exciting opportunity for highly motivated and experienced admin assistant to provide effective and comprehensive administrative support for our busy Specialist Services Admin Team. We are looking for a flexible, enthusiastic team player with good interpersonal skills and an excellent telephone manner who can work well under pressure, showing initiative, self-motivation, understand the importance of prioritising their own workload to meet deadlines and competing demands. EMIS experience and previous NHS experience in a similar role is desirable. The Community Specialist Nursing Team care for patients with complex health needs and long-term conditions in community clinics throughout Sefton. The teams also provide domiciliary visits for patients who are elderly, vulnerable, and housebound. You will provide comprehensive administrative support to our Consultants, Specialist Nurses, Physiotherapists and Health Care Assistants for Community Heart Failure, Diabetes and Respiratory teams as well as providing support to our Community Geriatrician. Process referrals within agreed timescales with precision and accuracy in line with standard operating procedures. Following triage of referrals, ensure all patients are contacted promptly in line with local KPI’s. Ensure appointments for new referrals are made within RTT targets and patients who require follow-up appointments have a schedule due date. Use information systems with specific responsibility to ensure a high standard of information recording is maintained. Undertake general office duties including, post, scanning, photocopying. Maintain stock levels, raise orders for stationery and medical supplies. Flexible working requests will be considered for all roles. Provide comprehensive administrative support to teams. Use information systems with specific responsibility to ensure a high standard of information recording is maintained. Produce standardised computer generated reports and/or statistical information as requested by line manager. Undertake general office duties, including ordering supplies and managing stock levels. Answer the telephone, clear answer-phone, record messages and respond to queries in a timely manner ensuring effective communication in line with local policies for non-clinical information only. Transfer relevant information to all health and social care providers as requested by line manager. Input accurate and timely information required for audit purposes. Co-operate with risk assessments and ensure that risks are identified and reported as they arise in the workplace. Requirement to work from other bases within the organisation, if necessary, and to undertake any other duties that may be required appropriate to the post holders grade, experience and competence. The post holder shall as necessary provide cover for and undertake duties of absent colleagues. Assist with the training of new clerks within the service.
