Teaching Assistant
Location: Stechford
Duration: ASAP, full time ongoing temporary post
Salary : £85 - 95 per day
The School/role : We are recruiting for a Special Needs school in the Stechford area that are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to work with them on a full-time basis.
The school looks after students of aged between 5 - 11, with needs including Autism, Complex needs and some physical disabilities.
The role is a full-time position for an experienced TA, to work with students with Learning and physical needs. You will be supporting them in the entirety of their day, ensuring they are cared for, their needs are met, and their learning is supported.
This role is ideal for an experienced SEND TA who has prior knowledge of ASD, SLD and Complex needs in students. You must know how to prevent, manage and deal with any needs or behaviours that arrive throughout the day; and work in a way that will reduce the likelihood of problems in the long term.
This role requires someone who is committed, who can work 5 days a week full time in the school.
A new enhanced DBS will be needed for this role or a subscription to the DBS update service. You must hold a Child and Adult
Requirements :
- Qualified Teaching Assistant OR Relevant SEN Background
- SEND school-based Experience
- Complex, Autism, Downs Syndrome, Cerebral Palsey, ASD, SLD experience
- Child and Adult Workforce DBS
- Available Immediately
- Level 1 safeguarding certificate
- Recent school-based references
- Valid Photo ID - Driving Licence or passport
- Full DBS - registered on the update service
