Who you’ll be working with: You will be reporting to the Treasury Manager for the UK and providing support to both the Treasury team and the broader finance team as necessary. The role sits within the Core Services unit of Capgemini UK which is home to business specialists delivering vital services and support to allow the effective and profitable operation of the UK business. The focus of your role: As a Finance Assistant, you will be responsible for providing administrative financial support to the Treasury Manager. You will be keen to build relationships within the team and improve existing processes. What you’ll do: - Manage the daily payments processes, including the preparation, review, loading and approval of bank payments. - Own and improve the payment processes mentioned above. - Own and improve the process for preparing and processing all direct debits and standing orders, maintaining records and addressing cancellation requests on a timely basis. - Maintain required documentation in respect of the UK bank accounts - Prepare and post journals into the financial accounting system in respect of the payments made / ad hoc items - Provide administrative support to the Treasury team - Prepare/review balance sheet and bank recs What you’ll bring: - Exemplary bookkeeping skills - Attention to detail and proven ability to deliver to deadlines - Good communication and interpersonal skills - A willingness to work with and contribute to a fast-paced team - Strong Microsoft Excel experience - Experience of using Oracle is helpful, but not essential
