Multi Skilled Shift Engineer - Stalybridge - Earlies / Lates (6-2/2-10) - Immediate Start (notice permitting) - Packaging Machinery - Immediate start - £35k

Our client are the UK's longest established and one of the most highly respected independent manufacturers of packaging solutions for box makers and the packaging industry. They are looking to hire a shift engineer to join their well established team' theEngineer will work with other engineers and company personnel to ensure the continuous running of our production performing key maintenance as needed.

Experience and Education Required/Desired :

  • Experience with demanding production expectations
  • Time served in engineering - experience gained / workshop skills - lathe
  • Working Safely in an Engineering Environment

Benefits : 30 - 35K Depending on experience 20 holidays a year Overtime available Possibility of progression to senior management position Working hours Shift - weekly rotation 06:00 - 14:00 14:00 - 22:00

General Duties :

  • To assist with the everyday running and maintenance of our corrugated board manufacturing process.
  • Preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs
  • Liaising with company personal
  • Multitasking proactively pre-empting problems
  • Completing emergency maintenance when equipment breaks down
  • Keeping a record of preventative and reactive maintenance carried out
  • Ordering required parts from suppliers
  • Ensuring the organisation complies with safety regulations while maintenance takes place
  • Fault finding
  • Calibration of equipment and system components
  • Servicing and refurbishing old machinery
  • Mechanical and electrical assembly
  • Inspection of machine parts
  • Machine diagnostics
