We are looking for an Accounts Payable Controller to join our team. This is an integral role in supporting the company to meet profitable goals by providing administrative support by processing, verifying and reconciling invoices, monitoring expenses and keeping a record for tax purposes. This role is based in Kings Hill, Kent 4 days a week with 1 day working from home. The role: You will report into the Financial Controller, leading a team of three and working alongside the wider finance team. More specifically, day to day will include: Supporting the Financial Controller with full end to end accounting for the business. Ensuring the month end P&L is produced on time, with all accounts accurately viewed and reconciled to ensure accurate reflection of the company financial results Assisting in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, extended trial balances, balance sheets for monthly and year end accounts Maintaining prepayments and accruals schedules on a monthly basis and posting the associated monthly journals Reconciling the stock at month end and adjusting the final balances as part of the accruals and prepayment process Raising invoices for network recharges and fines. Entering invoices into finance system, matching them with the corresponding PO Assist with the quarterly VAT returns and they are submitted within the correct accounting period Accurately prepare the monthly bank reconciliations ensuring they are completed within deadlines Posting journals for the intercompany loans and expenses Assist with the year end audit external and internal audit processes and compliance activities Skills and experience Proven experience in a similar position within a fast-paced finance team Experience of financial management systems and processes Experience of leading and coaching a team Knowledge and experience of UK GAAP and regulations Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise effectively and meet tight deadlines Qualifications GSE Level in Maths and English (Grade 5-9) AAT Level 2 or part qualified in AAT AAT Level 3 or 4 is desirable Why Trooli?
