Job description:Grounds Maintenance OperativeOxford Salary - £23,882-£29,724 per annum - depending on skills and experience. Contract type - Permanent. Working hours - Full Time (39 hours per week) Closing Date - 31 May 2024 Interview Date - TBC About the role We are currently recruiting for a permanent Grounds Maintenance Operative based in Chippenham or Oxford. You will undertake grounds maintenance work on GreenSquareAccord Limited owned land, to include public parks, playing fields, landscaped areas and similar open spaces and other horticultural operations. Part of the role will be to have general maintenance of public open spaces (e.g. grass cutting, hedge trimming, clearing leaves, hard surface maintenance and litter picking). This will include using powered hand tools and light plant (ride on mowers) in addition to the usual range of tools and equipment. The Grounds Maintenance Operative will ensure that all works are carried out in line with current health and safety legislation and in accordance with GreenSquareAccord Limited`s Health and Safety policy. Please note that if you are successful in this role, we will require a DBS check to be completed. Further details will be sent following offer. About you You will hold a good standard of education including GCSE or equivalent at Grade C and above including Maths and English. City & Guilds NPTC Level 2 Award in the Safe Use of Brush-cutters, Strimmers, Blowers, Mowers and Hedge Cutters is not essential but would be desirable for the role. You will have the ability to demonstrate an understanding of good customer care, this will also include having an understanding and knowledge of amenity horticultural operations. A full UK Driving Licence will be required for this position as a van share is provided. Please note that if you are successful in this role, we will require evidence of the required certificates and qualifications for this role.
