Senior Scientist

CK Groups US Division are partnered with preclinical stage biopharmaceutical company located in Waltham MA, established to pioneer the next generation of therapies in the oncology and autoimmune space. We are looking to recruit a Senior Scientist to support the R&Ds teams efforts, primarily responsible for generating antigens and antibody leads using protein engineering, protein expression and protein purification. Key Responsibilities and Activities :

• Generate antigens and antibody leads using protein engineering, protein expression and protein purification

• Clone various antibody formats (scFvs, Fabs, full length, bi-specific and tri-specific IgGs) into expression vector systems, followed by protein expression and purification

• Characterize biologic leads by ELISA, octet, flow cytometry, and SDS-PAGE

• Manage direct reports in protein expression, purification and analytics Experience, Skills and Competencies :

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Protein Chemistry or related field and 10+ years’ experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience

• Molecular Biology and Protein Chemistry with antibody discovery and engineering experience

• Experience in molecular biology and protein production techniques

• Experience leading and managing a team of Research Associates
