<p><b>INCOMING QUALITY CONTROL LAB LEADER</b></p> <p><b>Somerset (travel to our head office in Coventry required until Somerset office is open)</b></p> <p><b>Full-time</b></p> <p> </p> <p style="text-align:justify"><b>What you'll do </b></p> <p style="text-align:justify">Your role as an IQC Lab Leader will be to oversee all quality activities during the supplier incoming material so that the material received does not only meet the product technical specifications, but also all Agratas and customer specific requirements. Furthermore, you will be expected to interrelate between the supplier quality team and the manufacturing team, leading the problem resolution process effectively in the IQC area. As part of your duties, you will be required to regularly participate in groups to improve the product and the manufacturing process from the time a new product is introduced to the end of the product's life cycle. Additionally, you will be able to interact with other Agratas manufacturing facilities around the world, sharing knowledge and establishing good practices with them.</p> <p style="text-align:justify"> </p> <p style="text-align:justify">Reporting into the Head of Plant Quality, you will:</p> <p style="text-align:justify"> </p> <ul> <li style="text-align:justify">Managing all activities within the Incoming Quality Control (IQC) Laboratories</li> <li style="text-align:justify">Identify and recommend best testing equipment contributing to the design of the labs based on requirements (e.g.: BET, TGA, LECO, PSD, tapped and true density, etc.)</li> <li style="text-align:justify">Implement thorough control plans and test procedures for products and materials during the incoming material process</li> <li style="text-align:justify">Experienced in chemical and mechanical testing of raw materials and components in the battery industry</li> </ul> <p style="text-align:justify"> </p> <p><b>Who we are </b></p> <p style="text-align:justify">Agratas is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Sons. We will design, develop and manufacture high-quality, high-performance, sustainable batteries for the mobility and energy sectors. We are a scale-up business with a start-up mentality and the backing of a well-established parent company. The UK business headquarters is in the Midlands and we are currently building a battery manufacturing facility in Bridgwater, Somerset. Our first customers are Jaguar Land Rover and Tata Motors. </p> <p style="text-align:justify"> </p> <p style="text-align:justify"><b>The team you'll join </b></p> <p style="text-align:justify">The Plant Quality function oversee operations quality, and its role is to ensure product compliance throughout the manufacturing process through to the customer, as well as ensuring the site adheres and complies with company and customers standards and requirements.</p> <p style="text-align:justify"> </p> <p style="text-align:justify"><b>What you'll bring </b></p> <ul> <li style="text-align:justify">Strongly preferred prior experience in a laboratory environment;</li> <li style="text-align:justify">Preferably a PhD or Master in Material Science or Chemical/Mechanical Engineering;</li> <li style="text-align:justify">Knowledgeable in Electrochemistry;</li> <li style="text-align:justify">Preferable experience in managing shifts;</li> <li style="text-align:justify">Experience leading and coordinating teams;</li> <li style="text-align:justify">Experience troubleshooting analytical instruments/equipment;</li> </ul> <p style="text-align:justify"> </p> <p style="text-align:justify"><b>What you'll get </b></p> <p style="text-align:justify"> </p> <p>As a new company, our reward scheme is constantly evolving.
