We have a development pipeline of over 725 new homes, spanning an impressive 60,770 sq ft. About the positionCordia UK are currently recruiting for an experienced Finance Accountant to support the finance team made up of 3 people currently. The Finance Accountant’s role is to ensure that business reporting is provided consistently, accurately and in a timely manner. To ensure that the financial systems and controls are robust and raise operational standards throughout the business. This role will report directly into the Finance and Investment Manager.Key work activities- Managing the operating company of the UK Group along with a number of the project companies.- Preparing quarterly financial reports for the project companies and the operating company.- Working alongside the Finance Director, Finance Assistant and the parent company Finance Team to ensure accurate and timely reporting of company accounts and finance activities as required by the parent company.- Developing robust financial controls, improving, implementing and managing systems and processes for invoicing and checking fees.- Assisting with the drawdown of funds from funders.- Assisting with cash flow of the projects and the operational company.- Supporting the annual budgeting process, including managing performance against budget, reporting on business performance and challenging key stakeholders on variances.- Working alongside the Development Team and Finance and Investment Manager to develop and monitor accurate project cash flow statements.- Conduct treasury activities such as bank account maintenance, reconciliations etc.- Dealing with tax and council related regulatory matters e.g. VAT/CIS registrations, VAT/CIS returns, PAYE, NI, business rates, Council tax etc.- Ensuring finance policies and processes are relevant and up-to-date.- Assistance with share transactions e.g. issuance, conversions and other company secretarial tasks.- Undertaking duties in accordance with all relevant management systems and controls.- Assistance in obtaining funding for projects and building good working relationships with funders.- Managing service providers for local and other jurisdictions alike.- Be main point of contact for external auditors.- Ad hoc duties as and when requiredWhat credentials are we ideally looking for? - 3+ years of relevant finance-related experience- Working towards or possessing professional accounting qualification- In-depth experience of managing budgets and financial controls- Advanced Skills in Microsoft Office: Excel (with advanced formula understanding), PowerPoint and Word essential and Microsoft Dynamics AX (Axapta) 2012 desirable.- ERP system development and implementation experience desirable.- AX2012 and D365 knowledge desirable- Strong commercial acumen, integrity, and credibility- Analytical thinker with attention to detailWould you like to Apply?
