Responsibility:

  • Innovative Design Skills: Expertise in electro-mechanical mechanisms and precision machinery
  • Technical Leadership: Serve as the technical lead within a small, multidisciplinary project design team to deliver high-quality design solutions that meet cost, time, and quality requirements
  • 3D CAD Design: Lead the creation of designs using SolidWorks software
  • Engineering Analysis: Collaborate with the team to conduct classical engineering analysis on designs, including stress, fatigue, and vibration assessments using traditional methods and computer simulations
  • Lab Testing: Conduct laboratory testing to verify and validate design outputs against design inputs
  • Documentation: Lead the development of engineering reports to support new product designs, failure investigations, and other formal documentation required to meet customer needs
  • System Integration: Work with broader engineering teams to incorporate electronic, control, and drive systems into equipment designs
  • Support Functions: Provide support to production, testing, and field engineering teams, and assist sales teams with bids and quotations
  • Time Estimation: Collaborate with project managers and sales teams to estimate design activity timelines and keep stakeholders updated on progress
  • Sales Support: Assist the Sales Team in creating proposals, quotations, and sales literature
  • Project Management: Take charge of ensuring the timely delivery of outputs within established deadlines
