Come, join us on this journey!British American Tobacco UK has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Technologist in SouthamptonThe Senior Technologist role will assist the team of Scientists to develop technical knowledge of New Categories products and lab methodologies in the delivery of distinct scientific activities, highlighted as requirements under a Project Science Plan, to ensure technology and product platforms are developed in line with R&D portfolio and broader business needs.The Senior Technologist role will assist the Senior Scientist and Scientist roles across multiple projects, with a range of activities ( study set-up, shipment of samples, generation of claims substantiation data, and data processing) to aid Product Development, Toxicology, Regulatory Engagement, and marketing claims, whilst working to improve personal development through gaining product knowledge.Your key responsibilities will include: Accountability for the delivery of assigned activities across a portfolio of projects and activities within the New Categories product science portfolio.To have the technical understanding of workstreams within the science plan of a given project in order to deliver the assigned tasks within the required timescales and in line with product launch target dates.Have awareness of standard methodologies and compliance using technical knowledge and broad scientific principles to ensure effective delivery of an appropriate given task.Assist and work closely with the more senior scientist roles within the team with a focus on upskilling personal breadth and depth of technical knowledge in new categories product development.To understand testing activities, methodologies, and equipment capabilities to carry out assigned duties to fulfil project needs.What are we looking for?
