Within the centre, all functions of product development from initial ideas to full prodization take place, including, marketing, definition, design, layout, product engineering, validation, test engineering, characterization, qualification, applications, etc. Due to the significant innovation and differentiation in the development of our products, Semtech has continued to be the leader in our target markets.Job SummarySearching for an experienced semiconductor Senior Staff NPI Automotive Test Engineer with direct experience, and track record, of bringing automotive products through the NPI development process from definition to production release, including all quality, functional safety and qualification related analysis and documentation.Responsibilities Participate in new product design meetings to drive analog and digital DFT techniques into new designs driven from TFMEA.Contribute to the development of automotive product and functional safety processes and workflows and provide input to automotive QMS documentation.Develop and implement high-speed high quality test solutions at package and/or wafer level for new products on the Advantest V93000 test platform, including both software and hardware.Work with a cross-functional product team to assess and evaluate new designs and provide feedback based on ATE test results.Support product qualification by developing reliability screening solutions to evaluate device performance during life testing.Collaborate with Product Engineering to complete ATE characterization to ensure the robustness of IC designs and test solutions.Deploy the test solutions to our far-shore OSATs and support the ramp-up to full production.Hold periodic test review meetings with key stakeholders on project teams.Conduct ongoing test coverage, test time and yield improvements to drive continuous margin improvement and product quality. Minimum Qualifications Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline.5+ years’ experience working as a semiconductor test engineer, ideally for automotive mixed signal products.Define, review and own the TFMEA document, and be a contributor to the D&PFMEA.Develop high quality test results in line with quality management standards to support AEC-Q100.Working knowledge of ATE (e.g. 93k) capabilities and technologies, for both wafer probe and packaged products.Develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships across all functions within a project team (design, product, characterization, validation, applications, marketing, reliability, QA etc.)Work to aggressive project timelines.Multitask with multiple projects in different lifecycle phases.Produce concise, accurate and timely reports and updates (written and oral), containing clearly presented results.Experience in low noise high performance, mixed signal ICs.Knowledge of low noise and high performance PCB design concepts and experience in schematic level hardware design. Career Growth PhilosophyAt Semtech, we seek innovation and leadership from each and every member of our team.
