Empowering Learning are currently recruiting for a Alternative Provision Specialist on behalf of a Stoke-on-Trent based secondary school. This Alternative Provision Specialist role is Full Time 35 hours per week | Term Time + Inset At least a years experience in a school/residential setting in a similar capacity Be able to provide two most recent professional references Have a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable young people and a strong insight into the barriers to learning many of these young people face Availability from asap - Mon - Fri 8:30am - 3:30pm Full right to work in the UK The school are passionate about our students and community and are committed to achieving our ambitious vision. This Alternative Provision Specialist role is an excellent opportunity for a highly reliable and conscientious professional who will play a vital role within the academy's expanding Student Support team. This Behaviour Mentor role is central in ensuringthat students behave well and conduct themselves appropriately in order to support their learning. You will be responsible for the behaviour, conduct and standards of identified students and provide support, where necessary. You will proactively support studentsand staff with effective behaviour. The Alternative Provision Specialist will have a significant role in developing the Academy's ethos of respect, inclusion, trust and cooperation. You will have absolute commitment to wanting the best for children and young people, along with tact, discretion and diplomacy in all interpersonal relationships with parents/carers, students and colleagues at work. You will be self-motivated and have apersonal drive to complete tasks to the required timescales and quality standards, you must have the flexibility to adapt to changing workload demands and new school challenges that may involve working beyond prescribed hours on occasion. You will also have personal commitment to ensure that the provision of support is equally accessible and appropriate to meet the diverse needs of our students.
