We are currently seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Photocopier Engineer to join our dedicated team, bringing with them a wealth of knowledge and experience that is vital for our operations. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience with a diverse range of printer brands and models, demonstrating a remarkable ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues both quickly and efficiently. A solid understanding of IT and networking principles related to printing systems is essential in this role, as it encompasses a variety of technical challenges that require an adeptness in both mechanical and electrical systems. Excellent communication skills are necessary to effectively interact with clients at all levels, ensuring that their needs are met and often exceeded, which is the cornerstone of our customer service philosophy. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate strong time management abilities and the capability to perform well under pressure, especially in high-stakes situations where minimal disruption to client operations is paramount. Manufacturer training on major brands, including Ricoh, Sharp, Canon, Xerox, or Kyocera, is highly regarded, as is familiarity with IT solutions such as Equitrac, Ecopy, or Papercut, which enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. Additionally, proficiency in managing cloud print software and related technologies is increasingly imperative in today’s printing landscape.  Among the key responsibilities of this role are servicing, maintaining, and networking Multi-Functional Devices (MFDs) and photocopiers across various customer environments, coupled with providing on-site support that ensures minimal disruptions to their daily operations. The Photocopier Engineer will respond promptly to service calls for fault finding and repairs across various printer models while maintaining a high standard of customer service. This includes keeping detailed records of service actions, maintenance performed, and parts used for documentation and reporting purposes that contribute valuable insights for operational improvements. Furthermore, the engineer will educate customers on the proper use of equipment, thereby maximizing uptime and efficiency while fostering a collaborative environment with other engineers to ensure seamless operational support across the region. This role is pivotal in reinforcing our commitment to excellence and reliability in all aspects of our service delivery. What is in it for you - Salary: £35000 - £42000 per annum depending on experience. 40 days paid holiday annually - (including bank holidays + extended festive period shutdown) Untaken annual leave will automatically roll over to the following year. Mandatory Skills: 4 years+ experience: Knowledge of Basic Networking. Computer and analytical skills. Prior experience in the maintenance and repair of printers manufactured by HP, Brother, Lexmark, Okidata, Xerox, Cannon, etc. Possess excellent customer service and communication skills. Complete all administrative aspects of the job on time and error-free. Provide accurate feedback with close call information, parts usage reporting and customer meter readings. Must be able to problem solve, conduct is written and verbal communication, read and comprehend technical information. Maximize equipment uptime through timely response and effective and efficient repair with selective customer training to ensure elevated levels of customer satisfaction. Ability to troubleshoot and think independently. Mechanical and electrical aptitude and demonstrated. Cloud print software management experience. Document management software experience (e.g.: Uniflow) would be an advantage. Ability to train the end users. Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds. Pull, lift, reach, and transport equipment parts and boxes. Must have a valid driver's license and own vehicle .
