A mixed secondary school in the Trafford area is looking to take on a Teaching Assistant to start with them following the February half term to cover an upcoming maternity leave. As a Teaching Assistant at this highly supportive secondary school, you willbe supporting and assisting students with SEMH (social, emotional and mental health). This is a mainstream school so certainly not supporting severe needs but those students that are disengaged with school and find it difficult to integrate into mainstreamclasses. Highlights of the SEN Teaching Assistant position: - Pay will be dependent upon previous experience and confirmed hours; earn up to £1600 per month - Hours will likely be around 8:15am - 3:30pm - Support with a highly regarded secondary school in the Trafford area - Full time Teaching Assistant position, 5 days per week (term time only) - Opportunity to cover a maternity leave starting on Monday 27th February until the end of the academicyear (extend for the right person) - Support students with a variety of SEN: Autism Spectrum Condition, ADHD, Dyslexia for example This school is located in the heart of Trafford making it very easy to access via public transport. The school is a short walk from the local train station as well as being serviced by the metrolink tram line regularly. The school has a small on site carpark and being set in a residential area, has plenty of on/off road parking available. The school is very supportive and has a number of other TAs working at the school with the chance to collaborate and work closely within the team. Any experience of supporting young people with SEN is highly desirable. All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
