About Us: Tameside Children’s Social Care department is seeking passionate and dedicated Social Workers to join our Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH). Our MASH Team collaborates with various agencies to meet the needs of children in our community. We foster a supportive environment that promotes early intervention and collaboration.Role Overview: As a Social Worker in the MASH, you will play a crucial role in assessing risks and needs during referral screenings. Your responsibilities will include: Identifying and assessing risks and needs during referral screenings.Conducting MASH Intelligence Checks with partner agencies to recommend appropriate risk levels.Triangulating information from screenings and Intelligence Checks to evaluate risk and need levels.Preparing and presenting cases at Threshold Meetings.Providing advice and information to families.Referring families to additional services and organisations to address their identified needs. Qualifications and Experience: We are looking for exceptional Social Workers who share our commitment to improving outcomes for children, young people, and their families. The ideal candidate will have: A recognised Social Work qualification.Registration with SWEExperience in child protection and safeguarding.Strong assessment and communication skills.Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and partner agencies.
