There’s one thing we hear a lot from the people we care for. They’re not as young or fit as they were. Life has its difficulties. And more than anything, they want to live at home.

Our Carers make it possible. They visit people once or maybe several times a day. Getting them ready in the morning. Cooking. Shopping. Housework. Meds. Whatever they need.

But that’s not why we need caring people. There’s a whole other side to the job, providing friendship, reassurance and hopefully some laughs along the way. If our existing carers are to be believed, you’ll get a lot out of these relationships too.

It’s not for everyone. There’ll be tough days when people take a turn for the worse or aren’t exactly sweetness and light. But that’s why we value your kindness and patience so highly.

Few part-time jobs make more of an impact - and this one can become a career. You can progress to more senior or specialist positions with us, and still work part-time.

A few important details

• This job can be full or part-time.
• Your shifts will include one weekend in two.
• There are often overtime opportunities, but these are voluntary.
• Care experience is NOT necessary, but you must be aged at least 18.
• A full UK driving licence with use of a car is preferred, but not essential
• You’ll get a mobile phone with the Cera App, so you can work safely and efficiently.
• You must be prepared to wash and dress people.
