Are you passionate about ensuring the safety and well-being of workers in the construction industry? We are currently recruiting for an award-winning civil engineering contractor, seeking a dedicated Safety Advisor to join their established team in Wren hall, Drax


.
Key Responsibilitie

  • s:Develop, implement, and review health and safety policies, procedures, and management systems to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and industry best practice
  • s.Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify hazards, assess risks, and recommend corrective actions to mitigate potential safety issue
  • s.Provide advice and guidance to project teams on health and safety matters, including the safe use of equipment, PPE requirements, and emergency procedure
  • s.Deliver health and safety training and induction programmes for employees and subcontractors, ensuring that all personnel are adequately informed and trained to perform their duties safel
  • y.Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, documenting findings and recommending preventive measures to avoid recurrenc
  • e.Liaise with regulatory authorities, clients, and other stakeholders on health and safety matters, representing the company’s interests and ensuring compliance with contractual obligation
  • s.Monitor and report on health and safety performance, including key performance indicators (KPIs), to senior management and project stakeholder

s.Qualifications and Skill

  • s:Degree or diploma in occupational health and safety or a related fiel
  • d.NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification in occupational health and safet
  • y.Thorough knowledge of health and safety legislation, regulations, and standards applicable to the construction secto
  • r.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all level
  • s.Excellent organisational and analytical abilities, with attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks effectivel
