Job title : Learning Technologist
About the role : As Learning technologist you will assist in the development, implementation and utilisation of learning technology systems. This role is vital in meeting the college’s digital strategy and ensuring quality learning experiences. You will support all key stakeholders, staff and students in utilising and developing skills to be proficient in the use of learning technologies.
What you’ll be doing :
- Providing first line technical support to the instructors, maintaining, setting up and resolving support queries for the digital learning assets
- Support the uploading, formatting and maintenance of online learning content and resources on the Learning Management System (LMS)
- Daily monitoring of the Digital Team request logs
- With support, build and run site reports for stakeholders as required
- Provide first and second tier customer support to stakeholders, ensuring all requests are dealt with in a timely manner
- General administrative tasks to ensure the efficient and effective running of the Digital Team
What we’re looking for :
- Proven experience in a similar learning technology support role.
- Experience and understanding of Moodle LMS, AR/ VR / Mixed Reality technologies
- Comfortable working in a fast paces environment and to deadlines
- Willingness to learn and develop skills within the role as more digital technology is adopted
- Ability to take ownership of tasks and work independently
- Demonstrated ability and interest in operating a broad range of computer packages and learning technology
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team, developing and sustain good working relationships both internally and externally
- Able to offer proactive, informed and reliable professional advice and support to colleagues
