Volunteers & Patient Experience Officer

The Community Involvement Team is responsible for the leadership, development and co-ordination of hospital volunteers. The team also support the Patient Experience services at Newark Hospital. We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and hardworking individual to work within the Community Involvement & Patient Experience Team in our main entrance office at Newark Hospital. Attention to detail and accuracy are essential; as are good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to use your own initiative and prioritise a varied workload. This is a diverse and rewarding post within a supportive team, focused on improving the experiences of people accessing our services and visiting our Trust. - To provide administrative support to the Voluntary Services and Patient Experience Department - To act as facilitator in relation to the concerns and enquiries of patients, carers, families and staff and negotiate a resolution - To assist with the co-ordination and supervision of Newark Hospital volunteers - To provide the first point of contact for and respond to volunteer related or fundraising enquiries from members of the community Thank you for your interest in this role. Patient Experience Service To act as a central point of contact for patients, carers and families to discuss any comments or issues relating to Sherwood Forest Hospitals Trust To liaise directly with members of staff to facilitate a speedy resolution to enquiries. Voluntary Services Supervise a team of volunteers to support the services at Newark Hospital and enhance the services provided by the hospital team. To facilitate community involvement and support of the Newark Hospital. To link all voluntary services groups to provide managed services within the hospital i.e. League of Friends, community support groups. To encourage volunteer involvement in the delivery of patient centred care.
