Purchasing Manager – Barnsley/Hybrid - £35,000 - £42,000 Elevation Recruitment Group are proud to be working with a rapidly growing business in Barnsley who are looking to recruit a Purchasing Manager to join their team.
As Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for working closely with suppliers across Europe building strong relationships and ensuring a smooth supply chain.
Benefits: Flexible hybrid working (2-3 days work from home) Bonus scheme Private medical insurance Company pension Employee discounts Free parking Health & wellbeing programme On-site parking Sick pay Purchasing Manager duties: Monitor stock levels and identify purchasing requirements Monitor PO's to ensure materials are delivered on time, at the agreed price and within specification Identify, deliver and track cost savings across both direct and indirect spend Maintain regular contact with key suppliers, resolving any problems, making improvement and maintaining service levels and efficiencies Identifying areas for improvement to continually drive performance and business results Managing overall direction, coordination and evaluation of procurement for the organisation Seeking and proposing new products & suppliers as required, ensuring that the best commercial arrangements are achieved Maintain MRP data in relation to min/max stock levels, the quality standards of the operation and minimise the amount of money the operation spends Hours: Full time Monday – Friday Required skills & experience: Skilled negotiator with the ability to build long lasting relationships Must have a good knowledge of Excel (Vlookups, filtering, Formatting, data management etc) Understanding of budget control and budget management Strong problem-solving skills
