Siemens Mobility is looking for a dynamic and ambitious individual to join our vibrant team at the Bogie Service Centre in Lincoln as the Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager. In this pivotal role you will be entrusted with the responsibility of driving our EHS strategy across the Lincoln site as well as being the safety lead for the design, construction and future manufacturing activities undertaken at the new site in Goole, ensuring the highest safety and environmental standardsThis role will be based at the Bogie Service Centre in Lincoln with regular travel to other Siemens Mobility sites across the UK. We look forward to hearing from you.You’ll make a difference by: Advising on health and safety competency and training requirements of Functional Teams and preparing and delivering internal presentations.Displaying Ownership behaviour and operate to the highest professional conduct standards and ethics, managing risk and protecting the brand in accordance with Business Conduct Guidelines.Preparing regular reports on operational EHS performance and ensure appropriately communicated to instigate actions for improvement across locations.Providing advice and support to the General Manager, Head of Production & EHS Advisor during the investigation of accidents and incidents, ensuring compliance to reporting requirement for internal / external stakeholders and preparation / delivery of learning points to prevent a recurrence. Ensure all investigations are in line with the external system (Quentic) requirements as per the Central Function requirements.Providing mentorship / coaching in structuring personal development plans and continued professional development for the EHS Advisor to help develop their technical, management and competence.Representing the company at forums, conferences, project or other business meetings either as a participant or presenter.Supporting and providing clarity to the Governance & Assurance Advisor in the planning and delivery of audits of locations and the management system, assessing compliance to ISO and other client requirements.Supporting management in the planning, implementation and review of EHS campaigns. Allocating the EHS Advisor support to projects and seeking support from Environmental and Sustainability Advisors as necessary.Work in partnership with General Manager/Head of Production, EHS Advisor and other leads across the Lincoln & Goole locations, provide support in the development of a positive EHS culture and place EHS as an integral part of the business values and behaviours at all levels. Your success will be grounded by: Auditing experience, with a lead auditor qualification being highly desirable, to effectively monitor and improve EHS standards.Experience in leading and developing high-performing teams in complex environments.Extensive industrial multi-site experience in a safety-critical environment, providing a proven foundation for effective EHS management.Membership of an appropriate professional body (desirable), reflecting your dedication to professional growth and industry standards.Prior experience of building and promoting a ‘Culture of Safety’ throughout new staff and a new location.Reputable qualifications in health and safety, environment, sustainability, or quality management, ensuring you possess the vital expertise and knowledge.
