CNC Production Operative

CNC PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN Our client based in Hampshire (GU post code) is an industry leading gear manufacturing company. Their customers are in the Aerospace Defence & OEM markets. They are looking to employ on a fulltime permanent basis an experienced CNC Production Technician. CNC Production Technician Offer Shift 2 o 17.50hr 20% shift premium (Shift 2 and the premium will start once training and the full shift of staff are in place) o Overtime x 1.5 o Hours are MonThurs 14:45 to 00:00 a 37.0hour week (30 minute break) Shift 1 (Initial Training) o 17.50hr o Hours are MonThurs 06:30 15:15 and 06:00 13:00 Friday. A 40 hour week CNC Production Technician Responsibilities Operate machines; gear cutting turning lapping grinding & deburring; Aid / Change machine setting from one job to another within a set time frame; Ability to read and understand drawings; Change and adjust machine parameters and tooling as required to meet dimensional and output requirements; Able to use micrometres verniers and other inspection equipment to check work to drawing dimensions and validation sheets; Apply appropriate deburring in accordance with the design specifications; Setting and running multiple machines when the component and/or batch sizes allow; Meet desired quantities conducting inprocess inspection and checking against drawings and specifications to ensure they are made accurately and to the highest standards; Work in accordance to the quality system and processes of the company; Be punctual at all times; Adhere to the company s health and safety requirements and complete training as required. CNC Production Technician Requirements Relevant experience in engineering and working in a similar industry. Strong knowledge of CNC machine setup and operation 3 5 years relevant experience in a similar industry/role. The ability to read technical / mechanical drawings. Ability to use a range of measuring equipment Be able to work effectively individually and as part of a team to meet target deadlines.
