OCU Nettworx (Part of the wider OCU Group) are currently looking for a Junior Project Manager to join their team in Ireland.  As a Junior Project Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the planning, execution, and delivery of projects within our organisation. You will work closely with senior project management staff to assist in coordinating project activities, tracking progress, and ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Duties and Responsibilities: Project Planning: Assist in the development of project plans, schedules, and budgets, in collaboration with senior project management staff and key stakeholders, to define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines. Resource Management: Coordinate the allocation and utilisation of project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure that project activities are adequately resourced and aligned with project requirements and priorities. Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a point of contact for project stakeholders, both internal and external, and facilitate communication and collaboration among project team members, clients, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of project goals and expectations. Risk Management: Assist in identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks and issues, and developing risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to minimise the impact of potential disruptions or delays on project delivery. Project Monitoring and Control: Monitor project progress against established plans, budgets, and milestones, and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify variances, trends, and areas for improvement, and take corrective actions as needed to keep projects on track. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including project plans, status reports, meeting minutes, and other project-related documentation, and prepare regular reports and updates for project stakeholders and management. Quality Assurance: Ensure that project deliverables meet the required quality standards and specifications and conduct regular reviews and inspections to verify compliance with project requirements and client expectations. Lessons Learned: Participate in project post-mortems and lessons learned sessions to capture feedback, identify best practices and areas for improvement, and apply insights to future projects to enhance project management processes and outcomes. Skills and Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in project management, business administration, engineering, or a related field. Previous experience in a project management role, such as project coordinator, assistant project manager, or project support officer, is advantageous but not essential. Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and prioritise tasks effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and interact professionally with stakeholders at all levels. Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or Asana, and Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
