About BD Plymouth

BD Vacutainer® blood collection tubes in Plymouth, Devon is looking for a Quality Compliance Specialist due to internal promotion. This role is on a permanent basis, office-based Monday to Friday offering a competitive salary and substantial benefits package.

About the role

You will drive continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with the relevant regulatory standards (ISO 13485/FDA 21 CFR 820).

The Quality Compliance Specialist position reports to the Quality Compliance Leader and is responsible for Corrective Action Preventative Action (CAPA) as the site CAPA Leader. You will be also responsible for the execution of the Internal Audit program.

Key responsibilities will include :

  • Corrective Action Preventative Action (CAPA) :

  • Internal Audit :Each fiscal year, Plan and document the Internal Quality Management Audit program based on critical processes and risk-based.

  • External Audit :Key team member of the External Audit team, supporting in the planning ahead of the audit

  • Supplier Management :Conduct Supplier Surveys, Audits & Assessments as required based on schedule, including rating and approval of new suppliers.

  • Schedule the Management Reviews , document the key data sets within the MR report

  • Maintain a close link with the Regulatory Compliance and Regulatory Affairs BD teams

About you

  • Advantageous experience: ISO 13485 and FDA 21 CFR 820
  • HND level qualification or equivalent, preferably in science, quality assurance or business management.
