Field Engineer

Field Service Engineer Location - Southampton & South-Coast Working Hours - Monday-Friday 8am-4pm Salary - £25,000 - £30,000 Bonus, Overtime, Paid door to door FULL TRAINING GIVEN - WILL CONSIDER AUTOMOTIVE, HGV, CRANE REPAIR AND SERVICE EXPERIENCE My client is a leading materials handling solutions supplier with over 60 years’ experience within the sector and are currently on the look out for a Field Service Engineer both at Junior and Senior level with an excellent training package in place to learnthe additional industry specific technical knowledge & in order to successfully carry out the work at hand and progress through the ranks within the business. As a Field Service Engineer your main duties will be providing a professional, responsive and efficient service to clients, supporting them with a range of repairs and maintenance on a range of different materials handling equipment ensuring that value formoney is achieved for both customer and the business. Job Responsibilities as a Field Service Engineer :

• Undertake the repair & maintenance of industrial, agricultural and warehousing trucks and ancillary equipment
• Carry out fault diagnosis to identify reported breakdowns
• Ensure all damage and faults are highlighted to customers and recorded accurately on appropriate
• To work closely with sales team, informing them of any potential leads.
• Ensure necessary replacement parts and spares for stock are ordered promptly
• Reduce downtime for customers as much as possible
• Repair of equipment wherever possible as a first-time fix

Key Skills as a Field Service Engineer :

• Mechanical and or Electrical Skills
• Servicing of vehicles (cars, vans HGV’s, Cranes, Lifting Equipment)
• Skilled in repairs & maintenance
• Ability to work in a team and independently as required
• Been in a Field role before or similar
• Map out and work your patch as required
