SEN College – SouthwarkSeptember 2024 startSouthwark borough Career Teachers are currently looking for a SEN Teacher for a SEN College based in Southwark to start September 2024.We require a full-time, experienced ASD lecturer to deliver a curriculum based on the four preparing for adulthood pathways:Good HealthIndependent LivingEmployment and FriendsRelationships and the Community.A large part of learning takes place in a variety of community based settings. The lecturer will be deliver teaching and learning both in the college and community settings. Learners are working at pre-entry level, aged 16-25, knowledge of PBS and experience of behaviours of concern are essential. You will be expected to complete schemes of work, session plan, monitor progress against targets, write annual review reports attend team meetings and any other duties appropriate to the role Qualifications/Experience:Diploma in Education and Training (DET) or alternative teaching qualification.Experience in delivering good or outstanding Functional Skills and employability lessons from Entry level to Level 2.Recent experience of teaching students with special education needs and barriers to learning.Able to demonstrate effective planning of employment educational programmes for adults with learning difficulties, disabilities including SEMH.
