Maintenance & Installation: Deliver reactive and planned preventive ANPR maintenance works in line with SLA's. Manage a team/fleet of mobile/field based engineers to carry out installations and maintenance works. Deliver ANPR and signage installations according to the company rollout programme. Work with the Feasibility and Programme Manager to schedule jobs. Collaborate with the Technical Support Team to commission sites and diagnose faults. Manage a team of 6 members and the Chelmsford warehouse in line with 5S principles. Site Management: Conduct site surveys and prepare detailed scopes of work. Perform intrusive site surveys with the Installations and M&E Managers to prove cable routes. Prepare detailed site briefs, job sheets, and ensure health and safety folders are up to date. Ensure compliance with health & safety and welfare regulations, preparing risk and method statements, and securing work permits before site work. Conduct toolbox talks and maintain accurate records of operational vibration exposure. Report and follow up on near misses and accidents as per company health and safety policy. Order and maintain records of PPE issued to subordinates. Maintain accurate stock records of ANPR equipment and oversee stock replenishment. Perform regular workplace and equipment safety inspections. Tools & Equipment: Ensure teams have the necessary materials, tools, and equipment to perform jobs safely. Manage tools and equipment through regular PUWER checks and the On Track asset tracking system. Oversee the hiring of tools and plant through third-party providers. Conduct regular van, PUWER, and PPE inspections for teams. Job Tracking & Reporting: Track job progress with photographic records uploaded to the Synced Folder. Ensure the use and update of the FreshService ticketing system by all subordinates. Maintain and update signage installation plans. Track job costs with the Feasibility & Programme Manager. Perform snagging visits and prepare job completion reports for ANPR installations. Training & Development: Ensure subordinates have necessary training and accreditations, logged on the company training portal. Manage the day-to-day development of team members in line with company policies, including recruitment, training, timesheets, expenses, investigations, performance management, absence management, and appraisals. Collaborate with the Specialist Services Manager to share resources. Accreditation Support: Assist the company in achieving Safe Contractor, CHAS, Avetta, and OHSAS 18001 accreditations. What do we need from you? Have a good understanding of H&S at work regulations 1999 and Construction Design & Management 2015 regulations. Have experience of managing field based teams. Hold an IOSH Managing Safely certification. Hold a management or supervisors CSCS card. Hold a SMSTS or SSSTS CITB certification. Skilled in PC usage and associated software including Microsoft Office. A full clean driving license as travel across the UK is essential. Excellent interpersonal and networking skills.
