Job Title: PMLD Teaching Assistant – Full-Time – Cranborne Location: Cranborne, Dorset Start Date: Beginning of November Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term Teaching Personnel, the UK’s leading education recruitment agency, is excited to offer an opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate PMLD Teaching Assistant to join an outstanding school in Cranborne, specialising in supporting students with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) . This full-time position starts at the beginning of November and offers a rewarding role where you can make a real difference. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one or group support to students with PMLD, helping them access the curriculum and engage in learning activities. Assist the classroom teacher in creating and maintaining a safe, structured, and stimulating learning environment. Support students with personal care, mobility, and communication needs, ensuring their well-being and comfort. Use specialist equipment and assistive technology to support learning and independence. Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress. What We’re Looking For: Experience working with children or young adults with PMLD or complex learning needs (preferred but not essential). A caring, patient, and adaptable nature, with a commitment to supporting students with significant learning difficulties. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Willingness to assist with personal care and physical support needs. A proactive and positive attitude, with a passion for making a difference in students' lives.
